CaribNOG 2021 (Virtual Meeting)
Network Infrastructure Security

2020 has been a year like no other. Across the region, a spotlight has been lit on the quality, resilience and security of computer networks. The CaribNOG community has played an important role in supporting the rapid transition to online services across the region by focusing on building human resource capacity in areas such as cybersecurity, autonomous networks, IPv6 deployments and interconnection and peering.

The 21st staging of the CaribNOG Regional Meeting will be held virtually. Under the theme “Network Infrastructure Security.” CaribNOG 21 will provide participants with the opportunity to network virtually and gain actionable insights into the technical elements of Network Infrastructure Security.

The program will address two critical topics:

  1. Network Security Best Practices – assessing your network for vulnerabilities, protecting your networks from attacks

  2. DNS and DNSSEC – Getting the most from the DNS Root Service

This year updates and insights will be delivered by our expert panelists and speakers from across the region and the world. As always, the CaribNOG agenda will also feature in-depth, hands-on technical training sessions.

CaribNOG 21 is being hosted with the kind support of the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) and Internet Society (ISOC) in collaboration with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and Latin America and Caribbean Network Information Centre (LACNIC).

CaribNOG is a unique forum in the Caribbean, bringing together network engineers, computer security experts, telecommunications specialists and regulators, and tech aficionados to exchange ideas and share experiences. Since its inception in 2010, the volunteer-based CaribNOG community has enjoyed strong support from major global Internet organizations, including the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), Latin American Internet Registry (LACNIC), Packet Clearing House (PCH), Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Internet Society (ISOC).
