CaribNOG 12 and the LAC-i-Roadshow along with “Sint Maarten On the Move” were part of a week of activities known as “Internet Week Sint Maarten.” The week began with CaribNOG 12/LAC-i-Roadshow and was followed by “Sint Maarten On The Move” from 27 to 28th October 2016.

CaribNOG 12 was made possible with the kind support of our partners and sponsors: the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU), the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), the Packet Clearing House (PCH), the Internet Society, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, ArkiTechs Inc. and The BrightPath Foundation.

CaribNOG is a critical forum on the region’s technology landscape for rich technical discussions where we seek to better position the Caribbean to address critical technology challenges and issues and to collaboratively derive relevant solutions. CaribNOG12 is expected to draw industry experts from across the region and around the world to the beautiful island of Sint Maarten.

The LAC-i-Roadshow is one of the projects of the LAC Strategy, a strategy that was developed by the different stakeholders groups represented at ICANN from the LAC region. It is designed to raise awareness across the region on key topics related to the DNS critical infrastructure such as the transition to IPv6, SSR (Security, Stability and Resiliency) and the impact of the new gTLD program.

“Sint Maarten On the Move” aims to foster dialogue with the local Internet community about the global Internet ecosystem, Internet resources and other related themes.
