NANOG ON THE ROAD COMES TO FORT LAUDERDALE, FL

One-Day Educational Program to Focus on Technical Practices, Current Network Topics, IPv6 Adoption, Internet Governance, and More

The North American Network Operators' Group (NANOG) is pleased to announce NANOG On The Road to be held Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina.  Registration for this free-to-attend event features an education-based program offering attendees the opportunity to hear from industry leaders through presentations, tutorials, and interactive discussions.  Networking opportunities among industry veterans and budding professionals will also be available.

 

The NANOG On The Road event includes a series of informational sessions regarding network security; Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) and Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI); and tutorials on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and DDoS Mitigation.  The program also features an open Q&A session for attendees to ask about any of the day’s presentations and NANOG.

 

NANOG On The Road will be held from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and features a post-event reception concluding at 6:30 PM.  There is no fee to attend; however, registration is required to reserve a seat.  Attendees can register by visiting: http://www.cvent.com/d/r5qyv7.  Registration is now open.

 

NANOG sits at the junction of Internet infrastructure and network operations in North America, sharing a rich cooperative history with the operator community representing a large stakeholder group who works to keep the Internet working through network operations.  The sixteenth program of its kind, NANOG On The Road provides attendees with greater access to resources, tools, and information that will help them excel within the industry and help them do their jobs of managing the Internet more effectively.

The Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG) is a rich community of Network Operators dedicated to exchanging technical information and experiences related to the management of IP networks in the Caribbean region. CaribNOG collaborates with the regional and international organisations and stakeholders to facilitate capacity building and professional networking activities.  Initiatives are delivered in several forms including technical workshops, seminars, research-papers and of course, our annual meeting.
